I have been an osteopath for more than 20 years and have worked in the different countries of the world and am now back in my hometown The Hague.
Ever since I was a child, I wanted to work with people. I started the physiotherapy school in Leiden, which was a very nice time. But I had the feeling that there was a 'missing link'. I started reading and learning about embryology, not knowing at the time, that exactly this is the basis of osteopathy. After my diplom in Physiotherapy, I moved to Florida and then came into contact with osteopathy. This was exactly what I had been looking for and what felt right. Back to Europe, I immediately started the study and was able to successfully complete it.
The body is a fantastic unity with all its interconnected functions. But this is not the only thing that makes us who we are; our experiences, both good and traumatic, and how we deal with them are absolutely unique and shape us as we are. Sometimes we struggle with this when traumatic experiences block our well-being. That is why I have continued to explore and learn how these trauma experiences are stored in our bodies and how they can be resolved, together with the client. This is a unique concept that I work on with heart and soul.
I really love nature and am a creative person, which is reflected in my hobbies: walking, sculpting, painting, cooking, traveling, tango dancing, and playing the cello. I also have an adult daughter and a dog.Work experience
